Marzieh Nezhad is a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD and has over 20 years of clinical experience working with both individuals and couples. She is registered as a Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC (BC Association of Clinical Counsellors).
Marzieh’s approach to counselling is collaborative, warm, and non-judgmental. She believes that building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is essential for helping each person she works with to heal and grow.
Marzieh’s counselling practice is integrative meaning she draws from a variety of therapeutic models depending on each person's situation and needs. The therapeutic modalities that Marzieh draws from include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.
Marzieh is fluent in Farsi, Afghan, and English. She also understands cultural and societal norms and expectations that are associated with these specific cultures.
